It’s not exactly surprising news, but James Bond fans can officially look forward to the musical performances at the Oscars this Feb. 24: Adele, the singer behind the theme to Skyfall, will perform the Oscar-nominated song (which she co-wrote with Paul Epworth) live for the telecast. It is, according to MTV, the first time she has ever performed the ballad for an audience, and the first time she has performed on U.S. television since the 2012 Grammy Awards, since she is only just returning from a hiatus following a surgery and the Oct. birth of her son (whose never-before-announced name, according to Jan. 23 rumors based on her new nameplate necklace, might be “Angelo”).

Adele’s act won’t be the only Oscars moment for Bond: in honor of the franchise’s 50th anniversary, 007 will receive a full tribute. But Skyfall, which is also nominated for best original score, best sound editing, best sound mixing and best cinematography, may have its best shot to win a big award with Adele: she’s already won a Golden Globe this year (complete with adorable acceptance speech). It would be the first best original song win for the franchise, which has been nominated for the songs from Diamonds are Forever, The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only but has only won for sound effects (Goldfinger) and visual effects (Thunderball).
