The Canada’s Got Talent judging panel will look a little bit different next year, as the show just announced two new judges for next season — including country star Shania Twain. She and comedian Katherine Ryan will replace Lilly Singh and Trish Stratus on the panel.

Shania Twain Joins Canada’s Got Talent as New Judge

A Citytv spokesperson has reportedly shared that Lilly Singh and Trish Stratus, who served on the CGT judging panel for three seasons, will not be back next year. The spokesperson thanked them for “making invaluable contributions to the show.”

The show has also announced two new judges who will be taking their spots at the table next season. That includes Canadian country star Shania Twain, who shared in a statement that she’s “excited to discover the amazing talent” Canada has to offer.

Canadian comedian and actress Katherine Ryan will also serve on the panel during the next season, which is expected to air in spring 2025. As she told potential contestants in her announcement video, “If you’re amazing, I will let you know. But if you’re not… I will let you know.”

What to Expect from Next Season

The Citytv spokesperson who shared the news of Singh and Stratus’ departure did not reveal whether next season will feature a million-dollar prize. Season 3, which recently wrapped up, was the first to offer the amount to the show’s winner, along with $25,000 for each Golden Buzzer act.

It appears that judges Howie Mandel and Kardinal Offishall will both be back on the judging panel next season. It’s not clear whether Singh and Stratus chose to leave the show or were let go. Neither has posted about the news on social media.

The most recent season of the show was won by singer Rebecca Strong, whose audition earned the Golden Buzzer from Singh. In the season finale, she performed “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele.
